Building Together / Digging Deeper
Series Introduction:
Studying the Church ‘post-Pentecost’ in the Acts of the Apostles is a great starting point in exploring the disciple-making ‘Power of CHURCH’ as a Jesus-follower: filled with the Holy Spirit and being a part of a healthy biblical community, that has a significant missional and social impact.
Through this study, together you will explore:
● STUDY 1: A Church of ‘dunamis’-disciples (Acts 1:8) - focusses on the catalytic event of Pentecost and its impact on the Early Church; and the presence and power of the Holy Spirit for the Church today. (Includes and invitational prayer for praying for people to receive the Holy Spirit)
● STUDY 2: A Church rich in KOINONIA (Acts 2:42-47) - focusses on the disciple-making power of ‘koinonia’-community; where believers can discover Jesus, experience authentic-friendship, grow in discipleship and spiritual-giftedness.
● STUDY 3: A Church bold in witness (Acts 7:54-60) - focusses on the witness and martyrdom of Stephen; his bold, unashamed love for the Gospel and his example for the Church today.
● STUDY 4: A Church who finds Mars Hill-moments (Acts 17:16–34) - focusses on the evangelistic example and manner of Apostle Paul’s ‘Mars Hill’ moment where he shares the Gospel in the cultural heart of the Greco-Roman world.
